Howdy from Manitoba!

- right on the eastern edge of the Great Plains where winters are WINTERS LOL!

I am retired from a lengthy career in engineering & construction and now live on a pension. I am not a DIYer by choice but more because I can't afford to hire competent professionals and I often come up with unique solutions to construction problems and have to "ride heard" on others to do things the way they are specified. Easier to DIY, despite my age.

Look forward to sharing ideas with both professional contractors and amateur DIYers.

You don't need to tell me about Winters eh!

Mosquitoes as big as crows where I am. Should make them our Provincial Bird.

Welcome aboard there are lots of very helpful smart people here.

I'm new myself, but just wanted to say hi.

I spent the first 13 years of my life in the sprawling metropolis of Teulon Manitoba.
Where I live now, you rarely need a snow shovel, but a squeegee would come in handy!

Teulon, Komarno, Malonton , and then Fraserwood ( little Chicago ).

My Grand Parents settled in Malonton. Worst damn land in the Interlake. Every year a fresh crop of rocks popped up and they had to pick them. Needed a large family for that and they had one.
