Healing

Hey gang, thought you guys might like an explanation for where I've been.
Was on my way to a HOG Rally ( Harley Owners Group ) in Cookeville TN July 11th.
Left the house around 9am, woke up 2days later in Vanderbilt Trauma Unit !!!
They told me I wrecked my Scoot !! Broke 4 vertebra, 7ribs, shattered right wrist. I know all this to be true, cause it really hurt for a while. I'm doing well now, healing up wonderfully, and able to continue some of my "honey do's", to keep the Boss happy !! I'll be back on site from time to time between physical therapy and, Dr visits, to help all I can. ( Thank God for really good insurance. Saw a bill from the hospital, ( $ 58,764+ ) WOW, guess I got into the wrong trade !!! LOL Talk to you all later.

just sayin

Re: Healing

Wow, sorry to hear that. Any idea what happened? I was hit by a drunk driver while riding a Honda 750-4 way back in 1977, and I haven't been on a bike since. With all the fools out there texting, putting makeup on, or just not paying attention, I want a few thousand pounds of metal around me. Hope you heal up quick.

Holy Smokes man.

Glad you are alive. Praise God you made it out and bless those folks that keep you on this side of the soil.

Any details on the accident?

Re: Healing

I know what it like to have good insurance. In 2013 I had surgery in Denver, the turned around and had a shoulder replacement in December of 2013. I'm on Medicare with a good supplemental policy. I pay $162 a month for the supplement. My deductible for a year is $142. So for two each $75000 hospital stays, and who knows what else ancillary, I paid $142.

BUT, that is secondary. Glad you are OK and making progress.
