Ryobi 18 V Plus One Battery Needed

I need help.
This is a good old stout 2 speed drill if i only had a battery for it. Searching on line there are so many that say this will fit that drill mod. ect. how does one order one on line and get it right the first time. Sorry for the poor pics but my Canon camera system is down at the moment.

The pics are of the charger and the label on the side of the drill.

SS, all of the Ryobi 18v tools take the same battery. I have about 6 different tools that use the battery.

You can buy them at Home Depot or on eBay etc.

There are several different battery models, but they all have the same connectors, so take your pick. The batteries I have are P100 (NiCad) and P102 (Lithium Ion). I think with your older charger, you should choose the older P100 battery.

But for the price of a new battery, for maybe $10-$15 more you can get a whole kit with a battery, charger and a drill. Check em out on your next trip to The Big Orange Store. Or check their web site.

The older chargers still charge the newer battery's.
I tried to cheap out and buy the after market battery's and they charged fine, worked fine but where near impossible to remove without using a screw driver to pop them out, I had to break off one of the clips that hold it in place to get them to work right.
The Nicad and the Lithium both will work in the same drill.
It's well worth spending the extra money to buy the Lithium battery and the higher Amp. hour battery.

I haven't had any problems with aftermarket batteries for my Makita 18V tools. They work just like the OE (sometimes better), and cost half as much.

Yes, you'll see several different part numbers for batteries fitting the same tools, usually denoting different capacities.

No. You can't charge Li-Ion batteries in a NiCd charger. I believe you can do the other way round, though.

OP, any One+ battery will work, whether the old yellow kind (NiCd) or the new green kind (Li-Ion).

18v is 18v when the battery fits the tool. My old nicad ryobi tools work just fine with LI-on batteries.

The recall notice is almost 10 years old, so I doubt if they will still honor it. And I sure don't have the receipt anymore.

They've been flooded with calls and I've been on the phone now for about an hour waiting for my call to be answered in the order it was received. What else has an old man have to do? I've been given the option to press 1 and they'll call me back. I decided to see how long it takes on hold because they have nice piano music, although i'm about ready for a different tune. How bout a Willie Nelson for awhile. According to the link they quit answering the phone at 7:00 pm EDT but i just can't take that same song that long.

About 5 seconds after hitting the send key i had an answer and proceeding with returning my drill for a replacement.

Very pleasant person, worth waiting for. Clear instructions for Fed X to pick up the drill the 9th.

Box it up and put it by the door for pickup. I hope it works out for you but the motor to my recalled radial arm has been sitting there for over a year.

note to self: you need to put that in the recycle bin.

Ryobi Corp. and Fed X need to be tested don't they? The drill is so old and heavy it'll probably work as a door stop.

Weird. My P206 looks exactly like that HP1802M.
