replacing the belt on a crafstman miter saw

I finally found a replacement belt for an old Craftsman belt drive miter/shop saw but I don't know how to slip it on.
I don't see an obvious way to loosen one of the spindles.
this model number is: 137.285150 (which apparently is simlar to model 137375640) but I can't find a manual or instructions.

does anyone have experience with a similar saw or can anyone provide insight?

maybe I loosen the motor and that would allow me to tilt the spindle enough to load the belt?

many thanks

Peter

Should be able to remove one of the pulleys (probably the one on the blade), put the belt on the pulleys and then put the pulley back on the shaft.
Caution;
The nut on the blade shaft may be a left hand thread.

They are mostly all the same you work them on as you rotate the pulley.

It also helps to heat up the new belt , just place it on the dash of your car/truck in the sun for about an hour . Makes the new belt more pliable and easier to install .
