Schools should use that video as an example of what NOT to do.

Re: Who are your favorite YouTube woodworkers?

As far as strictly woodworkers, I like Steve Ramsey and Mark Spagnuolo. Most of who I watch are considered "makers" since they often utilize not only wood, but also metal, leather, PVC, electronics, etc. Some of them would include Jimmy Diresta, Johnny Brooke, Zack Herberholz, Mike Montgomery, Chris Salamone, Linn from Darbin Orvar, and April Wilkerson.

You would probably like AVE, if you don't already watch him, though the only thing he does with wood is get it stuck in a vice.

Not quite from YouTube, as he doesn't have a dedicated channel, but any time I see any video of Nick Offerman creating something or see something he's created I admire it. Loved when he showed off his shop on This Old House.

I like Pat Keegan (DIYhomebuilt) a lot. Ran across his channel on youtube and ended up sitting and watching for 2 hours.

Make Something

They've probably been mentioned already before but I love the YouTube channel Make Something. Pretty mainstream but I think there's a good reason why they get a lot of views. Their videos are high-quality, easy to understand and innovative. I also love that they have a relatively wide range of videos. They've got stuff for beginners and more advanced woodworkers. Plus Christmas decorations!
