Unwanted phone call

I just received a call on my cell phone, it says call from 9925. No area code or anything just 9925.
There was no answer on the other end. I've been calling the number back and keep getting a busy sound.
Anyone have any information concerning this.?

I would say it's just a spam call from another cell phone selling something. I wouldn't worry about it unless it's harassing you for something, then you can report it.

Google; "getting calls from 9925 on cell"

Spammers can do this, they can make their junk calls appear to come from any name and number or location they want. They can even make it appear that the incoming call is coming from your name and number.

jmon... I looked it up and it does appear spam.

ChuckF... Snowden said they can listen in on conversations over your cell phone even when you have it turned off as long as the battery is still in it. So I guess that means the computer too, wondering if that goes for the computer camera?
Scary, and doesn't seam right...

On my laptop, a blue light comes on signifying the camera is active. A virus or something activated it. Next day i installed AVG anti-virus software (they have a free version)...camera was never remotely activated again. Can also tape thin cardboard over the camera to make a guarantee

Or 2 or 3 layers of black (or whatever color suits you) electrical tape

I'm looking at it right now, lol. Works great.

Does it have to do with the tape that she thinks that?

I have a pc of a sticky note on my Ipad, over the webcam, since I got it a yr ago. I never make Facetime calls so will use the black electric tape idea.

You do not know spam until you try offering a place for rent. I hate to disconnect someone from a phone call based on accent. Oh, few years back I starting getting actual calls from local numbers. The numbers were odd, but when I googled them they came up local.
Bad enough getting email spam, now we get phone calls. The only real calls I get are tenants yelling at me, or some city guy yelling at me. Then the utilities companies want to inspect a rentals equipment.
Seems like yesterday I would walk in the door and ask my wife who called.

I have a lot of time and money invested in having a number come up number one on google. If you get two different numbers than you just have a different number full of spam. Sadly, if you are trying to generate business, most of your calls are going to be spam.
I use the mr number app, it blocks some calls, or at least gives me a bit of info on who is calling. As for what I would do differently, I do not know
