Suttle reminder that I'm a DIY'er

Went and picked up a bag of quick set this morning. Wasn't paying attention all the way up to the mixing stage. 20 minute is just a little too fast for me. Got everything set, but had to mix twice. You know, it's troublesome getting quick set out of a pan after it goes 'bang', lol.

I stay away from most quick set products.

I like hot mud but you really need to mix it in small enough portions so you can use it up before it starts to set. Once it starts to set you need to clean out your mud pan/bucket right away!

I mistyped. Easy Sand 20 is what I meant.

I don't think I've ever used the 20 minute EasySand but I've used many bags of Durabond 20. There is a reason it's nickname is sudden bond. It's my favorite setting compound/time but where I live now it can be difficult to find.

Around my house, there are lots of subtle reminders that I'm not a pro. That's the spirit of DIY; you learn to become better next time.
