Plywood - formaldehyde a concern?

I recently learned of the risks of formaldehyde off gassing in the home. Most of my stuff is old luckily, so I'm sure its off-gassed enough to the point its not a concern. I do have a lot of cheap laminate, but nothing I can do about that.

In my two year old's room, we have a window box and some chalkboards that we built shortly before he was born. All of it was made out of cheap plywood and painted with chalkboard paint or latex paint.

Would these be a major concern? His room is very small and we do keep the door closed, but its off-gassed for two years and since we spent time on them, I would rather not take them down.

Not a concern.
More likely for it to be in processed wood products.
Particle board, cheap paneling, laminate flooring Ect.

I had read that it was in plywood, but I wasn't sure how much of a concern it really should be.
