Non DIY Topic: Is it necessary to give tip for flooring delivery?

Home Depot online order, deliver to home, shipping fee is already included in the order. I guess it will be curbside delivery, which is fine to me. But should I give the delivery man(men) a little delivery tip?

Thanks.

Not in my book unless maybe if he went way over and above that really made a difference to what you are doing. He is just doing a job. He is not like a waitress working for min. expecting a tip.

On the other hand, if the point of delivery is up 2 flights of stairs and the closest place the truck can get to is 100 ft away, then a Twenty might be a good investment.
Saves you from packing the stuff.

Flooring needs to go inside immediately. If they deliver to the curb, they didn't earn anything extra. if they bring it inside to the exact location you want it, $10 each would be a nice thank you. In NJ it would it would have been a minimum of $20 each or your mail box or lamp post would have been run over.

now, one more consideration. We are moving into online ordering for everything so there is a likelihood you will encounter the same crew at some point in the future. Treat them nice today and your order tomorrow MAY arrive in one piece.

Thanks. Curbside delivery is what I want, I guess that is also what I paid for.

I can bring those boxes to basement by myself.

They're really heavy. Try them out before you decide.

Maybe. I have had one of these for about 15 years and it still works great. I wouldn't go without one.
