Nominations For November 2014 DIYer of the Month

We are opening nominations for our November 2014 DIYer of the Month today!

The DIYer of the Month will receive the following as prizes to receiving this prestigious award:
  • $350 eGift Card
  • Featured in our monthly newsletter
  • A custom badge
  • Username & Picture on our DIYer of the Month page

The best thing about this community is the wisdom, experience, and support shared. Without this camaraderie and mentorship there would be no purpose to DIYChatroom. The DIYer of the Month program gives you the opportunity to say, “Thank You!” to your fellow members of DIYChatroom who have helped you make the most out of your projects!

With that said, who is the first DIYChatroom member that comes to mind whom you respect, appreciate, and whose skills shine in this DIY community? That’s who you should nominate.

Nominations will be accepted until November 10, 2014 after which we will total up the count to determine the top 5 member nominations. Then we’ll open up the official voting poll to all DIY Chatroom members.

To Qualify:

- Nominees must have a minimum of 100 posts in the community.

- Nominees must be willing to provide a profile picture (or a picture of a project) and a unique biography. Failing to provide these in a timely manner will disqualify the nomination so you may want to start working on your stories now, just in case! (It can just be a story about being a DIYer!) Examples here: http://www.diychatroom.com/blogs/diychatroom/

-You may not nominate yourself.

Rules:

- You can only win DIYer of the Month one time per year.

- Each member can only nominate ONE DIYChatroom member per voting cycle.

- You are welcome to nominate any member. However, we, the DIYChatroom Staff, reserve the right to screen all nominees.

- As members of the community, moderators are also eligible for nomination.

Additional Notes:

- Nominations are posted publicly here. This is your DIYer of the Month, for you, by you. Having this process public helps everyone see that the nominations are chosen by the community.

- However, voting is anonymous. Each member gets only ONE vote, but no one can see who voted for whom. You can only see how many votes each nominee receives.

Let the nominations begin!

When making a nomination I make my choice upon how helpful a person is. This is open to all DIY members, with this in mind I nominate kwikfishron. I wish we could nominate as many as we wanted to but we can only nominate one each month.

Thanks Jim...I don't feel worthy these days. It's tough for me to nominate someone since there are so many that deserve recognition.

That said, I nominate ToolSeeker.

I agree, there is such a long list who deserve to win. It is really hard sometimes to choose just one. There are literally 100s of years experience shared by our members, who so selflessly take their time; and it is so greatly appreciated.

It is hard to pick out just one person. There is so many experienced people on here it makes it hard to pick out just one. I know there is so many that do not stray far from their area of expertise.

I'm going to put up Windows on Wash again. His knowledge and willingness to help others can be seen through out this forum.

We should make it to where we can nominate more than 1 person, but only vote for 1 person.
