Memory foam bedding

I was wondering about the memory foam bed we have. Can we put a piece of plywood to firm it up? Other than buying something new,are there other idea's?I am sure we have no option's,but I thought I would give it a go. Thanks.

If you kept the old box spring, yes you are supposed to place either Plywood or Chipboard between the box spring and mattress.
