In this case, i think "easy" may be a relative term...lol.
Seriously though, thanks for the TUT i would never have even thought about trying to make my own. The cost differntial between making and buying has to be phenomenal.

Three questions
1. Could i use an angle grinder and cut off wheel to cut the links instead of the massive bolt cutters without causing any issues? I'd assume so, but figured I'd check for any gotchas...
2. Also assuming welding the ends as one additional step provides extra strength?
3. What are the differences in different materials? Is there an easy reference guide for which type of steel to use for any given application (particularly outdoors)?
