Can you be a bit more specific? On a power pole is a bit harder than in a fluorescent light.

It's simple. Connect power to the input connections. Draw power from the output connections.

I could use info on power pole and flourescent. Just started school for electrician and this is part of a project. Any info is much appreciated.

Google. Wikipedia. As Joed mentioned, the connections are the easy part, the power parameters on both sides are important. Have you learned what transformers do and how? Does the school not give you a textbook?

When I went to college, one of the first classes I took was "learning how to learn". Search google.com for learning how to learn, then read, read, read.

You will thank yourself for doing this later in life.
