Hydronic Radiant Floor Heating Question
Hi all. My master bathroom has a hydronic radiant floor heating system with an easyheat programmable thermostat. It works perfectly 99% of the time but i am having the following issues:
- the clock on the thermostat loses times (roughly a few minutes per day sometimes more) which is undesirable given it messes up with the heating schedule. The thermostat does not take batteries. It is connected directly into the power sensor.
- very rarely i noticed that the thermostat either shows only the time (as if it was turned off) or flashes "sensor" (meaning a faulty floor sensor according to the manual). I saw this happening a few times in a 5 months period.
My question is:
Why is the clock losing time? Faulty thermostat? And why sometimes the thermostat shows as if it was off (even though it is set to AUTO) and sometimes it shows a faulty sensor? I was told that a faulty sensor is very rare. So maybe i just need to replace the thermostat?
It feels like that the thermostat sometimes is losing power. That would explain it showing as off and the clock losing time... Not sure
