How to fix drywall?

Contractor cuts the hole too big. The wall plate cannot cover the whole hole.

For four gang plate, it is behind the receiver, that is a little acceptable. But others(only two one gang banana plates) look bad.

Remove the plate and flat tape/finish the edge. Or you could neatly caulk the gap although that might need to be redone if the plate is removed later.

A Goof plate will cover the second hole. They are made for that problem. Home Depot has them.

Can you get an oversized plate for the communication box?

Re: How to fix drywall?

The rectangle with those ports may come apart from the main plate. Take the over size plate and reassemble with j weld or such. When at the store, note the sizes and what they're called. There is another name for bigger plates which I can't remember.
Also, remove the plate and look at what's behind. I think those ports don't have a metal box, just some kind of anchor and maybe you can reposition it.

For four gang theater plate: it is very difficult to find four gang theater plate, it is already lucky to have found one.

For one gang banana plate: I have ordered it from Monoprice, and they are small too. I tried to search on Amazon for bigger plate, there is almost no difference. I have also been to home depot. I don't found big banana plate.

Remove the plates, repair the edges and reinstall the plates, straight this time. I would not order new plates.

I would go with caulk, make it easy for myself. Currently, drywall is not urgent, I need to fix HDMI cable and speaker wire.

Re: How to fix drywall?

For the small one, those connectors can be removed and installed in a plain plate that you can get at the home center. Drill holes the right diameter for the connectors. Generally, plates come in three sizes, small, regular and oversize.

For the big one, the best option I see is a bit of mud or plaster and paint. Caulk will look messy.
