How to fit my 6'8" doors into an 8' doorway

I bought a house with all 8' interior doorways and want to use my 6'8" knotty alders doors. What is the easiest way to make this happen?

Do you have door there now or just drywalled openings.
Do you have jams with your doors?

You'd need to remove the existing doors/jambs and reframe it to fit the new doors. Installing a transom over the shorter doors might look nice.

I agree with the transom idea. (less problematic than reframing the opening).
google: "Door Transom Images" and "vintage door transom images"
for some very interesting ideas.
