Re: Fabric glue

My Mrs. being a seamstress, never cared much about glue on fabric repairs for clothing. Her "iron on" patches that she put on the inside of my Holy jeans, worked great for a long time.

Hmmm, I just saw a familiar Bondo ....

I can't tell any difference in quality between the RK jeans and the ones with the expensive label on the pocket. One complaint the watch pocket is barely wide enough for a utility knife. You aren't going to park a phone or your pocket watch in there.

Go ahead kids and ask, 'what is a pocket watch?'

Re: Fabric glue

I decided to "think outside the box" with this stuff. Its been a week and the 4 patches are holding well.....BUT..... I have yet to toss them in the washing machine.
I will update for anyone interested.

Re: Fabric glue

10 months plus and the patches are holding well through numerous wash and dry cycles. Have them on 3 pair of jeans, two patches each 6 total.
They aren't cosmetically very appealing but for patching work clothes this will be my co to method. The adhesive has multiple uses so its a win win.

Re: Fabric glue

Now that I think about it, I have a pair of sweat pants that I wiped my finger against while using 100% silicone caulk.

After many washings and dryings that stuff is still stuck on there.
