DIY sidesplash options

The bathroom vanities I installed do not come with sidesplashes. The walls in my house are not square, and there it a gap between the vanity counter and the side wall. What are my options for putting in some type of sidesplash or other fix for the gap between the counter and the wall? I have seen some generic sidesplashes for sale on Lowes website, but an nervous about how to cut it or what?

Thank you!

Does the back splash have a shape or is it just rectangle.

Re: DIY sidesplash options

Its a basic rectangle shape with rounded edges. I hope I am successful in posting two pictures which may help.

Re: DIY sidesplash options

I have used the generic side splashes on occasion. They can easily be cut with a small wet tile saw. Pick one up and take it home and see how it fits. Measure the length you need and you may find one that fits right off the bat.

I would hold a card up to the left side and trace a pattern find a shop that sells and install the same product. Measure the gap in the front and show them that top picture and see what they say.

Re: DIY sidesplash options

It maybe a little expensive and time consuming.

Remove the drywall and install spacers.
