Chalk Line Question

Is there a typical length for a chalk line like the one that I am showing? 100ft?

They usually come in 50 or 100 feet. Look for one with the rapid rewind. The one you show will take a long time to reel in. Not a big deal for a line or two, but if you use it a lot you will appreciate one that reels in 4-5 times faster.

I've got 6 or 8 that we use daily.I only run 50' in them .Even if you need a 100' line you don't want to try and snap it in one snap. It's also hard with 100' of string for the chalk to get distributed evenly in the box.

Agree. Even at 40', if I am snapping against a wall I am rolling the middle up 1/4" before snapping the thing to allow for sag....no matter how tight you pull it. Ron
