Advantech “reference corner”?

I’m about to put in some Advantech subfloors and I noticed one corner says “reference corner.” I have no idea what this means. It’s OSB, so all the corners are going to be square. Anyone know what this means?

Is that on the corner with the grove side?

Weirdly it’s the one with the tongue. It would make more sense the other way around. The installation instructions don’t even mention it so I’m inclined to ignore it.

Can't tell you many floor I have done and never noticed that,
Measure out at both ends of the space and mark the joists the width of the board and snap a line so you can check the length of the space to be sure all the boards will fit and line up, you working edge is the groove, put a 2x6 in front of it so you can hammer it in, they are designed to not quit go together.

Perhaps there is a lump there to force you to leave a gap between the ends of the sheets.
