Wildie: Even though I'll be using glue as well?

Willie: I understand the reasoning for dealing with the first floor first, but is it absolutely required? Just wondering.

Glue and screws will be very solid. Using nails causes a lot trauma in the area to be nailed and is more likely to split the bridging when they are pounded in.
