Waste pipe exiting house and new foundation

Doing an addition. Everything all designed. Ready to go and doing this myself mostly. Haven't run into this type of problem before. The sewer waste line just happens to exit right where a foundation stem wall will be located.

The pipe extends about 18" straight out (along where the wall will be) and then 45 degrees off line.

What to do? The only option I can't do is move the exit from the existing foundation wall. I could install a 45 or 90 degree at the house to make it exit the wall sooner.

Would appreciate any thoughts.

Sounds like you need to move either the wall or sewer line.
A little difficult to understand from your description. A photo or sketch would be helpful.

I think you are saying the pipe exits through the wall. If true then why not turn it down inside the existing room and then go under the new addition? It will require the floor inside be broken and you tunnel under the existing footing but that is not as difficult as it sounds.

Re: Waste pipe exiting house and new foundation

Thanks for the ideas so far. I'll try to be more clear.

Single story home with 12" crawl space. Basically inaccessible due to venting and such. So getting inside to do work or moving the exit point will be too much work.

The pipe exits straight out of the existing foundation stemwall but above it's footing. So about a 4" hole in the concrete with this waste pipe exiting. This pipe leads to the septic tank about 20 feet away.

The pipe runs about 18" straight out and then bends 45 degrees and runs it's course towards the septic tank. So about 18-24" of the pipe would be in the way of the new foundation stem wall that will be poured.

I could start the turn of the pipe right where it exits the house, thereby shortening the length that would run on the foundation.

Maybe I could start the foundation a couple feet out and bridge the gap with joists and hangars.

Any chance you could shrink or expand the addition by just enough for this issue to go away?
Might need to ask the Permit Issuer if that would be okay.

No and it wouldn't make a difference. It's the middle wall and needs to be in line with the wall in the existing space.

I'm confused as to what exactly is happening....

Can you not sleave that waste line , form around it (maybe some rebar depending on eng issue), and pour.????

But maybe I've got the wrong picture.

Re: Waste pipe exiting house and new foundation

Is the waste line in great shape? Any repeated issues with clogs/roots etc? I'd hate to bury that thing just to have it fall to pieces in a few years and have to rip it out..

Why can't your addition just tie in to the existing exterior wall in these areas so that it doesn't require a separate foundation? A picture or copy of the plans would help..

Or just have the load from the new addition carried on both sides of the waste pipe so you dont need a foundation wall here.

Might need to fatten the footing and wall at that location until you get past the pipe and then thin it back down. A little bit of form work will let you get over top of the pipe with your joisting.
Since no one will ever see it, there are no marks for pretty.
