I am planning on using aluminum reinforced vinyl porch railing and 6"x6" p.t. posts inside vinyl sleeves for porch columns (pt posts will be supporting beam wrapped in aluminum, I remember hearing something about not having pt wood and aluminum together??). Also, my railing has to span over 10' so i need a 4' support post in between columns. I will be mounting two of these into the brick rowlock and two into concrete (at bottom of steps) Is it better to use a structural post mount, kinda like these: http://fairwayvinyl.com/sw_strucposts.html which I am assuming attach with tapcon screws ....... or a 4"x4" anchor plate attached with center anchor bolt for a 4" p.t. post to mount? Thanks
