Vapor barrier for Bonus room over garage?

Hello All,
We just purchased a house and I'm having the carpet replaced in the bonus room which is over the garage. I've removed the original carpet and padding so there is only exposed 3/4 plywood at the moment.

Is there anything that you would recommend doing prior to having the new carpet installed? I'm in the process of screwing down the plywood, which was originally nailed, to eliminate some squeaks. However, should I also install any sort of vapor barrier or tar paper? I've used the later for hardwood flooring but not sure if anything is preferred under carpet?

Thanks,
Ralph

The subfloor is considered the vapour barrier. The garage should be drywalled taped, filled and painted to keep auto off gasses out of the home.
