sloped soffit

Hello,

I can't find any information about how to install aluminum soffit for a sloped eave. Everything I find is for a horizontal installation.
What I am trying to find is the connection detail between the rake soffit and the eave. How do they connect? What is the underlying structure for J-channel support once it extends past the wall? How do you connect two J's together at that intersection?
Etc. etc...
Does anybody have some solid advice? A good PDF?

I found one house in the area, but he won't let me pull his soffit apart...go figure.

Thanks a million!

some guys make what is called a pork chop.

the pork chop is level horizontally with the fascia board back to the house and then vertically up to the rake

give us a drawing of the side view and we can help, maybe

Hi,
Thats the detail I am actually trying to avoid.
I'm trying to follow the slope of the roofline. (7:12)

The subfacia is 2x6 and attached to the 2x4 truss tails.
I was told to simply attach the J-channel to the wall and nail the soffit to the SubFacia and slide the panel into the J-channel.
All well and fine until you get to the end of the wall were the gable meets it.

Then I have to figure out how the J-channels connect together back to back so the two merging soffit panels are supported.

Maybe I'll just order some more material and see what kind of destruction I create by just winging it.

I have been amazed at how little detailed images and information there is out there. The company has installation instructions that are useless and all the interwebs stuff is even more vague.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to kick myself when you guy's tell me how it's done. It's probably self evident.

Thanks again.
