Replacing sill plate question

Because of past water damage I am replacing a 7' section of sill plate that is attached to the concrete slab at the front of the house. A few of the attached wall studs also have maybe 3" inches or so of water damage at the bottom where they attach to sill plate and are rotten. I know I need to use treated wood for the sill plate, but do I also need to use treated 2x4's that I will be sistering to the damaged studs? Just wondering. Tks.

Treated wood is fine but not needed. you do need to stop the water from getting in and stop water from wicking up from the concrete.

You can use a 4 x 6 and do both at the same time

I forgot to ask the question re the wicking. Would this be just a strip of plastic between the wood and concrete? Any special thickness?

Sill gasket is a thin foam product, 6 mill poly will work.

Re: Replacing sill plate question

Related question before I go. I will be framing an interior wall for a bedroom closet. Is a barrier such as this also necessary for the sill plate on an interior wall constructed over concrete? Tks.
