porch


can you put decking material over a cement porch, will i have problems with water underneath the decking (or between the decking and cement)

i cannot open the chat as i must have popup blockers, would you please email. thanks

What kind of decking material ?
You want to install it directly on top of the cement - that will trap moisture
Covered porch ?
Location ?

it is a covered porch, nebraska. tough winters
hot summers

putting decking over cement covered porch


I would like to put the no care flooring over my cement porch - my husband says it will have a water problem between the decking and the cement, from all i read - He is right, we will in nebraska, cold winters hot summers. is there anything else i can do besides take out the cement. thank you

You would need to have 2x sleepers on the concrete and then decking over that. It would raise the surface 2 1/2 - 3”.
