Pergola footing depth in Toronto

Hello,

I'm hoping to get some feedback on what the appropriate footing depth should be for a pergola in Toronto. I will be using 6x6 posts attached to Simpson CBSQ bases: should the foot depth be a min of 4 feet?

Thank you very much.

Welcome to the Forum!

Frost depth in Massachusetts if 4', so I'm sure you're somewhere around that. A quick call to your local building official will provide you for certain the correct answer.

Good luck!
