Need to size a steel I-beam

I've tried to look online for a steel ibeam that would be sufficient in my situation. I am building 22x32 living quarters in a pole barn. I was going to put bedrooms upstairs and want a beam to be 20' long to support the second floor without any beams. I was thinking 11' 2x10" for floor joists that will use hangers on the beam instead of on top of beam. Any idea on the size on ibeam needed? Thanks

Re: Need to size a steel I-beam

Steel beams are sized based on the load, the span, and the connection details. There are usually many different beams that will work, your structural engineer will decide which is best based on the available space, the loading, the cost, and the support post requirements. You are not going to find an on line site to size your beams, almost always individually sized by an engineer or architect.
