Moving interior door to garage - awkward?

Our attached garage has an interior door on the left side of the garage at the rear. Immediately to the left of that door on the adjacent wall is ANOTHER door that leads to the outside of the garage. Basically it's a corner with a door on each side of the corner.

Right now we have removable wooden steps leading down from the interior door, and these are blocking the adjacent exterior door. In order to bring the house up to code, we need concrete steps, not wood. This would permanently block the other exterior door which opens inward, rendering it useless.

My husband wants to move the interior door to the center of the garage, so that it will be between our two cars when we drive in. This way we would be able to put in proper concrete steps, and still be able to use the other exterior door as well.

My fear is that a door that leads into the house coming from the center of the garage will look awkward and scare off any potential buyers. I've never been in a garage that had a door in the center of the wall - they are always near the corners of the garage. Am I making a big deal out of nothing?

Interior Door from Garage

The only reason you often see the door from the attached garage to the house in the corner of the garage is that the garage is located at the end of the building and when the overhead garage doors are at the front of the home the only place for the door to the house is in the back corner of the garage. When you have an attached garage with the overhead garage doors at the side of the home the door from the garage to the house is often in the center.
