Install Door Now or Later?

Due to some water damage I had to replace the floor (everything down to the joists) in my utility room.

I have fastened the new 3/4" T&G plywood subfloor to the joists in my utility room. I plan on laying down 1/2" plywood as my underlayment for the vinyl.

There was an exterior door in the utility room that leads into the garage; I had to remove it in order to remove all of the subfloor. Should I put the new door in now? or wait until after the underlayment and vinyl have been installed? It is considered an exterior door, so there will be a threshold.

I am assuming that it will be easier and look "cleaner" if I install the door after I am completely finished with the floor... but I do not know too much about construction so any advice would be appreciated.

You will get better clearance for a rug if you wait till the 1/2 inch ply goes in--I'd wait--Nice to have a rug at that door.-

Check the door opening with a level. If the door needs a lot of shimming --you might want to install it before the 1/2 inch ply--That would hide the shims.---Mike---

do it last, a piece of quarter round at the sill will cover shims
The older I get the better I was
