How should I cover my crawlspace?

So I'm remodeling my laundry room (a small room in between our kitchen and back porch). I'm trying to figure out the best way to cover the sides of the crawlspace so that the pipes don't freeze and rodents stay out. There is no concrete footing all around it. It sits on concrete pillars. Thanks!

Re: How should I cover my crawlspace?

Whatever material you choose you will not want that touching the dirt. It will also be hard to detail around the sonotubes. I would guess you have to have an access panel as well? And there will be some holes in the main foundation wall for HVAC/plumb/elec to cross into the main house? Since its a small area, I might consider a trench footing to keep the inside ground and the cover panels dryer, and allow you something to fasten the bottom to.

In other news, if you raised your wall before subflooring, you might have to rip 5/8"+ off the drywall if its a standard 92 5/8" stud length (or raise the top plate).
