high humidity inside my house

my house is almost 3 years old. i have not had this problem until three weeks ago. the humidity level is at 88%. i can cool the house down and bring the humidity down some, but it will rise again as soon as i turn the a/c up.

this should be in the hvac forum. check your a/c condensate pan/drain (attic, basement or closet), make sure there is no standing water in the pan from a clogged or partially clogged drain. make sure there is good airflow over the coil, could be a dirty coil or a dirty air filter. could also be the coil freezing over due to low airflow and/or low system charge.
