Question

help needed - vapour barrier

I am desperately trying to find large rolls of BLACK vapour barrier, or any other similar type of film around 3 feet wide or larger. I need this for a haunted house we are setting up at my daughters school. Does anyone know where I can find this product in the Toronto or surrounding area?

Look for boxes of Visqueen plastic poly sheeting at your local home improvement store...comes in black and clear.

I've been phoning hardware stores all morning, they always only seem to have the clear plastic but not black. I'm phoning everywhere I can think of right now...

Too bad you aren't here, I just pulled about 120 feet of 12' wide black poly sheeting off the shipment of steel that just came in...it'll end up in the trash...it's 4 mil thick.

Try landscaping suppliers.

Hi

Do a web search for 'breathable membranes' this should bring up a number of manufacturer's and/or suppliers if not suppliers then the manufacturers should have a list of stockists. Web sites should have a contacts page and if necessary you'll have to send them an email, hopefully you will have a stockist in your local area!

Another option is to check out local building or roofing suppliers in your area!

Good Luck
