Do I need screening under attic vents?

Short ques. Had two turbine attic vents installed to boost inadequate venting from earlier contractor. Do I need to tack up some screening under the vent holes to prevent insects intruding? Nothing mentioned in any of the installation manuals about such a step.

No more than you should have screens on your windows and doors.

Thanks for bringing this up. I recently changed one out and rewired two others and putting screen up and screening the holes never even entered into my head. Living in the mosquito capital of the northern hemisphere you would think that would be one of the first things to think of.

Screening will keep out insects and bugs as well as bats, birds, squirrels, and rats and mice, and yes, rats and mice can climb quite well.
Just don't forget to keep the screens clean of leaves and buildup of dust and dirt, cobwebs etc

17,000 dryer fires a year, when did you last clean the inside of the dryer near motor or the exhaust ducting?
