curved wall and curved floor joins
Hello I don't know if I am in the correct space but I am a teacher librarian from Queensland. We are having a video/audio room built in our new library and the architect and the builder don't know how to join the vertical curved filming wall with the (horizontal) curved floor. They don't know how to do the corners. I know its is a bit random for me to post this here but I am trying to get some answers so we can have the room completed. The builders don't seem to care too much and I was wondering if anyone out there could help please.
The 1 you've got is Obviously way over his head....
Just because he drew it on paper, don't make it possible...
Curved Walls for Recording Studios and such
Seeing curved walls and floors tying into a wall is quite common. This construction practice ideal for sound recording and great for shooting pictures.
A good friend's father owns "Teddy Bear Productions" here in Vancouver and I have been to this sound "Stage" "Sound Room" a couple of times.
The wall surface curves right down and make a seemlesss transition to the floor. I just by chance meet the men from "Curved Walls" last week and they might help you out...
I understand that the construction cost for this room where four times over standard construction...
I'll call Sammy and see if she has some pictures. We where there last summer for a big party and we partied in this room...
