I had a question for anyone from Southern California area on these forums. What would be considered a current hourly rate for masonry work.
The reason for my question is that I'm planning to contract out the demolition and concrete work for my backyard. Part of the work involves removing a section of wood fence and 3 plants (about 3 foot each in height) and replacement at the end of the project. The contractor estimated about 2 hours of labor time added the whole project. However this particular item in the bid seems very overpriced so I would be interested in hearing from any masonry contractors on this forum in Southern California (I'm located in San diego).
