There's a lot to it and none of it involves normal sackrete and portland, which shrinks too much when hydrating. There are some great books available on the subject. The mix is often available at specialty retailers but rarely at box stores.

also be aware that concrete counters, while gorgeous, are really porous.... even when sealed properly. If you're a sloppy chef, you might want to instead select a less porous option... (formica, stainless, granite)

all those guys're right & we make 'em if i had to choose a bagg'd mix, i'd pick rhodes over cheng,,, buddy's a conc guy & cheng's approach is from design,,, gimme the pro every time
