Buck Frames for Windows?

Are buck frames needed in the rough openings for vinyl windows when tearing out the entire old window? The vinyl windows I am considering have no nailing flangs. The construction is newer sheet, wood, ply, and siding.

Jeff,

If you can get the manufacture's name from the windows already installed you could possibly get INSERTS that will replace the windows already in place.

Best of luck and happy hunting, rredogg
