best way to insulate under a bay window?

i guess i was very naive about how much cold can penetrate up through the bottom of a bay window. i very lazily attempted to stuff some batting in the void between the bottom of the window and the vinyl siding.. looking back now it was completely useless..

so now the cold really comes up through the wood bottom/base of the window.. If i decide to open up the siding outside and get to the bottom of the window what is the best way for me to insulate? Batting doesnt work because you cant get it to "stick" under the window. i guess i could use XPS but it would take me hours to make all the cuts (oval window) to get it to be air tight.. honeslty what i really need is about 6 feet of spray foam. Any suggestions?

There are DIY spray foam kits available, but I prefer to leave that to people that understand foam installation and types. For bays/bows I install I use XPS. Depending on how much space i have, I will usually use at least 2 layers of 2". Liguid nails holds it in place until I can cover it with vinyl or aluminum.
