I just bought a new house that has a beautiful basement perfect for finishing. The only bad thing is, I would like to install a bathroom but the house is on a well / septic system and the sewer drain exits the foundation about 3 feet off the floor.
Is there any hope of putting a toilet down there or should I just have a sink for the bar and let it be?
see if you can find the top of your septic tank and how its elevation relates to your basement floor. if it is low enough you may find it cheaper to run a new line. If you can avoid a pump i always feel it's the better option
Wow that sounds like a good idea. That part I might have the plumber do but i'm glad that it's possible.
I will check into the hight of the septic though, a drain line wouldn't be too much work either.
Thanks for the info!
