Baffle question

I installed Accuvent baffles in my attic before i blow if some more cellulose and it is possible to have baffles to high? Due to the pitch of my roof, the top of the baffle is 2" above the top of where I plan of having the insulation blown in, which is too close since I dont want to get any insulation down the baffle. I picked up some 48" baffles from HD that I was just going to staple where the existing onces ended, but didnt know if I should cut them in half or doesn"t it matter how high they go. Of course my concern is air circulation.

Their purpose is to maintain an air channel, as long as they are above the insulaation, makes no difference.
