Anderson vs. Pella Exterior French Doors

We are in the market for 3 sets of exterior french doors to replace our existing builders-grade ones that are warped and not closing properly. Both Anderson and Pella reps came to our house. Pella is $2K more than Anderson. I'm trying to understand if it's worth it. Both doors look to be the same on the outside. I realize that they are obviously constructed differently. But is it worth $2K per door?

Pella doors are wrapped on the exterior with aluminum. The Andersens have a urethane finish on them. I've been putting in the Andersens forever and have never had an issue with them. I have removed doors installed by others that had rotted due to idiotic installation practices, but that will happen to any door or window.

The exterior trim on my Pella sliding glass doors seperated from the glass the year after they were installed
Pella would have to be a LOT less for me to buy another Pella door

I've been installing Anderson doors for many years---Never a call back.

Pella on the other hand--I charge a BIG extra to install because of call backs and complaints.

Go with Anderson--You will be glad you did.----Mike----

What Mike said. I have dealt with both over my 26 yrs as a contractor, never or rarely a problem with Andersen, and they stand behind their products. Pella does not!!
