9' wide door opening

I have a door opening that is 111" wide which I can narrow up 12" if needed.
so in 99" to 11" what type of doors can I use? I do not want posts and as big an opening at once as possible. The cheap accordion doors are not desireable.

These need to be able to lock as well. It is to a storage closet in a church.

I am thinking 3 sliding doors 3' wide each, is there a triple track available? so all doors could go to one end or the other and only take up 3'.

Maybe some sort of custom built 5' bifolds? Hinge 2 - 30" doors together and make them into bifolds?

Any other thoughts?

Maybe a roll-up door from a secure storage facility outfitter.

Of course this all depends on how ascetically pleasing you would like it.

Or a pocket door that is split in the middle and each side hides in the wall pocket.

There are numerous possibilities.

Re: 9' wide door opening

I have 3 sliders for my bedroom closet.. My wife bought this storage system and the drawers wouldn't open with two doors so I put in 3.. I bought 2 normal tracks and cut one down the middle to make my own triple track.. It works.. Been up for years now..

Doors can be built for any size opening and there are many options available it just depends on your budget.

a barn style door might be a good option if you want to utilize the full opening but you will have to have the space on each side for the doors when open.

Re: 9' wide door opening

Should have mentioned there is only about 4" room on each side so a pocket style or barn door will not work. also it should not come out into the room more then 32" or so when open. And (just to further limit it) it can not go back into the closet as it would hit the cabinets/shelves
A roll up style may work, but the cost I have found in the past to be prohibitive.

I am not sure what the price would be but stage curtains could be a easy alternative.
you could do something fancy or just keep it simple. The other possible good thing about using draperies is it can dampen the sound so the room does not echo as much when people are speaking making sermons and such easier to hear.

A link to one on E-bay, approximately $ 500.00.

Roll-up type.

If too high look there for more, there are hundreds in various sizes, that you might be able to adapt tp your use.

Why not close up the opening? If it is just storage frame the wall up and just put a standard size door? Or if you have 4 feet on each size close it to 8' and use 2-4' barn doors.

Re: 9' wide door opening

4" (Inches although i understand now some use that for feet) on each side.
I was thinking the same thing. Just do 2-3 foot doors so a 6' opening. then U-shapes shelves in it. Have about 23" on each side of door.

This is probably the best most economical option for what is needed.
