Is it ok to have NM and light fixtures under tub in second floor bath room? Background is - remodeling bathroom in 87 year old house. Pulled bathtub and found enough blown in insulation to fill a half dozen large trash bags. And buried under the insulation I found K&T wiring for the first floor overhead foyer light and out to the porch light. Really not good. I have several other postings here from a couple months ago for my next project which is to replace my service and rewire the house. That project got delayed by a busted water pipe. So now I have finished ripping out all old corroded galvanized and copper mess of pipes, and replaced with pex, and remodeling the bathroom. I am farming out replacement of the cast iron stack - plumbers will be here tomorrow to do that.
