What is the main purpose of a drum switch?


A) Stop and start a motor
B) Control the speed of a motor
C) Change rotation of a motor
D) Provide overload protection

Most common answer is A et C however B is used once a while with multispeed motor as well only if the drum switch have multispeed concats in there.

One of my older electric wrench I have it have two speed reverseing drum switch so I can run either speed and change direction.
