Well wiring

I checked the local state codes on this and found no specs for roughing this in.

On a well, I assume you are running 1" schedule 40 PVC up to the well casing (based on completed wells I've seen). What is the rule of thumb on the height of the conduit vs well casing?

Are you using an expansion joint ?

The few I've seen done had the schedule 40 going into a well cap of sorts, and had hose clamps holding it on. Is that normal?

This is the one I see all the time. The conduit is run up into the smaller bulge. The wire is often direct bury and the pipe is just a sleeve where iit comes out of the ground.

I would think the conduit should be the all the way to the top of t he casing as a protection for the wiring.
