Troubleshoot fluorescent fixture

I have a three-bulb T5 ceiling fluorescent fixture and two of the bulbs went dark. I replaced them and now one blinks for a moment and then goes dark and the other does nothing. The bulb that was working is still fine. I'm wondering how I might troublshoot this 2-year-old fixture bought from the depot and no longer for sale. It has a HEP group si214-35 uni ballast. Thanks for any reply.

Re: Troubleshoot fluorescent fixture

How to troubleshoot any fluorescent fixture.
1. Change the tubes.
2. If #1 doesn't do it change the ballast or replace the fixture.

If your keen to keep the fixture

Re: Troubleshoot fluorescent fixture

it could be a bad socket... ?loose connection..? you would want to do what others has suggested and try 3 new lamps just make sure the sockets are making contact with the pins on the tubes
