Thermostat on outside wall?

In my small reno of an office space, the best spot I can find away from the heaters themselves is on the opposite wall, which is the outside wall, rather than the partition wall.

It is insulated with R20 6" deep batts.

Is the rule about Tstats on inside walls inviolable?

I think the thought behind this is that the outside wall is likely to be cold and not give a true reading of the room's temperature. I would think that as long as the wall is properly insulated and you seal the wire penetrations against drafts then it will be okay.
