Surge Arrester Install

I am installing a surge arrester in my home. I understand that the white wire connects to the grounding bar and one of the black wires to the main breaker. Where does the 2nd black wire connect?

Im certain that you do not connect the lines directly to the main breaker, most surge arrestors have you connect the white to the ground bar, and the two blacks to two different "legs" in the panel. Like the two poles of a double pole breaker, or two single pole breakers.
This can be easily accomplished with breakers that have special terminals that accept two wires. Like square d QO breakers.

What is the model of the surge arrestor you are installing?
What type of breaker panel do you have?

What type of breakers inside? Could you provide a picture of the breakers near the top of the panel?
The way they install that surge arrestor, is by taking those two hots and putting them under each terminal of two breakers side-by-side
like a double pole breaker or two single poles.
Some breaker terminals allow two wires under them, Im not sure if yours can yet.
